What Is Laparoscopic Surgery?
Laparoscopic surgery or minimally invasive surgery or keyhole surgery is advanced surgical technique in which instead of opening up the abdomen fully with a big incision, the surgeon puts small ports or tubes via small incisions of 5 mm only. Through these small incisions, laparoscopes or very small cameras can be put inside the stomach and the surgeon performs the surgery from outside while looking at the computer screen.
